In every Alpine Yoga class you will do a variety of yoga poses, or asanas, to stretch the various parts of your body. You may also do some breathing exercises and/or meditation, but the yoga poses are the core of the class. At the end of every class there is a relaxation period.

Your teacher should give the class general instructions about a pose, and they may also give you individual instructions. They may even physically adjust your body while you are in the pose, to help you better understand the actions and movements of the pose.

What's the most important thing to remember?
That you are in charge of your body. Not the teacher. Do what you feel safe doing.

What do I need to bring?
Two bare feet.

What should I wear?
Tee shirts and shorts, or leotards, are the usual attire.

Can I eat before class?
Try not to eat at least an hour before class.

Is there any religious content in your classes?
No. Yoga is for everyone.
